Introduction
Mary’s pre and primary School’s academic program is designed to provide an educational
environment that challenges the average and the accelerated student. The curriculum is
based on Tanzanian basic education specifically in English medium.
The school also offers Religious education is the heart of education in.
The religious dimension of the school extends throughout all subject areas and all school activities.
Daily prayer, in addition to weekly Mass and special liturgical celebrations,
provide a framework in which Gospel values can flourish. Formal religious instruction
begins in pre-kindergarten and continues throughout all grade levels.

Objectives for Baby Classes Age 2 - 3
During their first year at Mary’s pre and primary School our students work on the following subject areas:
• Identifying and naming objects from their immediate classroom, school and home environments in English
• Identifying and naming in English shapes and colors
• Listening comprehension using nursery rhymes and poems
• Sorting items
• Matching items
• Molding different objects
• Coloring simple diagrams
Academic Achievement Objectives for Mid Preparatory Class – Ages 4-5
During their second year at Mary’s pre and primary School our students work on the following pre-number activities:
• Sorting and matching items
• Identifying, counting, tracing and writing objects and numbers in values from 1 to 10
• Matching numbers and number values
• Number sequencing
• Scribbling
Academic Achievement Objectives for Preparatory Class – Ages 5-6
During their second year at Mary’s pre and primary School our students work on the following activities:
• Number sequence
• Counting and writing numbers 1-50
• Object and number addition
• Concepts of more and less
• Number and object subtraction
Reading and Phonemics
• Identifying sound and objects
• Blending words with the use of vowels
Pre- Writing
• Scribbling
• Molding objects
• Coloring from left to write
• Formation of letters
• Dictation
